Meet The Experts
Mr. Themm is the founder and President of Zephyr Healthcare Advisors. He brings over 30 years of health care experience advising health systems, hospitals, physician organizations, public entities, non-profit health care organizations and other entities. He has broad expertise in the areas of strategy, physician/hospital alignment, physician needs assessments/medical staff development plans, valuation/FMV/physician compensation, facility planning (inpatient and ambulatory), and Board advisory/facilitation.
Eric has held previous senior-level positions with Vizient Inc., MDS Consulting, and The Camden Group. He has trained and mentored dozens of consultants and helped grow and develop multiple consulting practices. Mr. Themm is married with 3 adult children and 3 dogs. His interests include cycling, hiking, reading, most sports particularly football (otherwise known as soccer), and spending time with family. He is a member of Saddleback Church in Orange County, CA.
Mr. Themm holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Claremont McKenna College. He also studied at the Instituto Technologico Autonomo de Mexico in Mexico City.
Mike is a medical group/physician practice expert. He has helped health care organizations in the areas of physician strategy, physician/hospital alignment including creating new structures (e.g. medical foundations), transaction assistance, MSO development, and optimizing physician practice performance.
In addition to his many years of consulting, Mike is Professor of Practice for Health Services Administration and Policy at the Sol Price School of Public Policy for the University of Southern California. His focus and interest include health policy and the transformation of the US Health Care Delivery System as well as addressing health care disparities to improve access.
Mr. Harris has held prior positions of Engagement Executive and Manager with The Camden Group and MDS Consulting and has served in several senior management positions with physician organizations including President of a three hundred physician ophthalmology network and Vice President of Business Development at a major medical group in California representing over one million enrollees.
Mr. Harris holds a master's degree in Health Care Management from California State University Los Angeles.
Chris has over 25 years of experience in the health care industry, working in health care sales, hospital business development, and consulting.
As a trusted advisor to C-Suites and leadership, Ms. Ortale recently worked with Vizient/Sg2 generating new business as well as working on consulting projects. With years of experience in the health care space, Christine has experience in consulting, service line development and implementation, marketing, business development, strategy, physician engagement and development, telehealth, fundraising as well as value-based care delivery. Working in a multi-hospital system, in both acute and behavioral health, has helped her gain the experience and knowledge to be a trusted advisor in her 11 years at MDS Consulting where she served as Principal.
Ms. Ortale has a proven success record as a continued leader in health care sales, business development and management and training including service line development programs for orthopedics, spine, cardiovascular; women’s health with hospitals; and physicians’ groups.
Ms. Ortale received her bachelor’s degree from Cal State University, Long Beach, and her Master’s in Business Administration degree with an emphasis in marketing.
